The National Tax Lien Association (NTLA) appoints seasoned executive as Director of Marketing & Communications
In his role, Mr. Morris will lead efforts not only in promoting awareness and visibility for the venerable association but will also be instrumental in the growth of its members and conferences while adding distance learning for Certified Tax Lien Professionals
JUPITER, FL, April 15, 2019—The National Tax Lien Association (NTLA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lanny Morris as its new Director of Marketing & Communications, effective April 15, 2019.
For more than twenty (20) years, Mr. Morris has held numerous roles within a diverse roster of not-for-profit and for-profit associations and major publishing companies. His career began at an association management company based in Bethesda, MD, just outside of Washington, DC.
“It was the best training I ever received. I quickly learned how to manage spinning many plates for a handful of associations,” said Morris. “As a staff liaison to committees within an array of very different associations, I was thrust into helping them with all their respective needs—from membership growth, education, and public relations to conference planning to sponsorship and exhibitor sales,” continued Morris.
Brad Westover, NTLA Executive Director, stated, “Lanny is going to be a fantastic addition to our team with his diverse association experience and with his relentless pursuit of success.”
In addition to marketing and communications efforts, conference planning and sales, Mr. Morris will also assist in promoting awareness for the recently-launched NTLA Foundation whose mission is to support owner-occupied homeowners with hardships, including the elderly, disabled veterans, active military personnel, and others who owe back taxes to avoid property tax foreclosures.
Current NTLA annual events include the Anual Conference, Fall Symposium, and Tax Lien University where Mr. Morris will help promote, grow the number of attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors.
“The pool of not only prospective NTLA members, but also attendees and subject matter experts at these important events is vast and expanding. Each of them provides actionable intelligence and education, and unrivaled networking. As the ‘go-to’ national association for all tax lien resources and representation, we aim to reach every practitioner, vendor, and services provider in this niche industry,” concluded Morris.
