Delinquent taxes total $6.6 million

KENOSHA, WI - A backlog of delinquent taxes from 2005 through 2015 totaling $6.6 million has county officials searching for a means to an end.

County Board supervisors said last week the county needs to step up efforts to recover the unpaid tax.

“It appears Big Brother has not been there to force the hand,” Supervisor Steve Bostrom said.


County Treasurer Teri Jacobson said the number of properties and the amount of delinquent tax each year has decreased steadily since 2010. Read the rest here
